My other half doesn't have his luggage and I made a mistake by getting 3 check in bags instead of 2 and I'm going through changes to get credit for the one I didn't use. There giving me the run around!

The gate area was terrible at San Diego airport -way too crowded in a small space. Since my husband was driving to our destination, we did not have to take any luggage so my kids and I only had backpacks. Therefore everything was easy and smooth. And we didn’t have to pay up charges for everything and it was a short flight. I tried table was broken and it was a little cramped, but it was fine for what we needed. I probably would not fly spirit on a longer flight and if I had to take baggage.

Boarding procedure is horribly slow. You charge me to check a bag and would not let me carry it on. Charged me to simply select a seat. Charged me for water. Charged me for every little thing on top of paying for an expensive ticket. Your seats are terrible. So uncomfortable, they don’t recline. No WiFi, no way to charge my phone. No entertainment. I mean you Offer noting and you charge for everything. Why would anyone want to fly with you again?

Arrived at 3:45am & found a long line where Spirit employees were standing at the counter but no one was working. Worried if I’d make the flight. Line started moving about 4:15 and got to check my bag at 4:30, realize my flight was at 5:25. Lines thru security were long, got to flight and walked right on. Spirit was cheapest when selected but not after $70/bag and $30/seat - extra $200.

Spirit Airlines positions itself in the aviation market as an ultra-low-cost carrier. Operating costs are minimalized by using their network of bases and offering streamlined onboard amenities. Extras such as seat selection, refreshments and checked baggage are not included in the standard fare. It is renowned for reliable, on-time departures and draws a customer base that are keen to get to their destination quickly.

All passengers are situated within a singular Economy cabin. You can upgrade to a Big Front Seat, which is essentially Premium Economy, featuring an additional 6 in of legroom and reinforced padding. Located at the front of the cabin, the Big Front Seats are ideal for working-on-the-go and either have aisle access or a window view.

Airbus is chosen as the preferred manufacturer, making up the entirety of the fleet. The A320 and A321 families of aircraft are used for the majority of services. Unmistakable with any other carrier, the Spirit fleet is painted in a bold yellow design that has been labelled the taxi livery.
