Based in Fort Lauderdale, Spirit Airlines has a wide-reaching network of hubs across the United States and offers international travel to the Caribbean, Central America and South America. Secondary hubs in Chicago, Detroit, Orlando, Las Vegas, Dallas and Atlantic City enable the carrier to operate a broad range of domestic services within the United States. Spirit Airlines positions itself in the aviation market as an ultra-low-cost carrier. Operating costs are minimalized by using their network of bases and offering streamlined onboard amenities. Extras such as seat selection, refreshments and checked baggage are not included in the standard fare. It is renowned for reliable, on-time departures and draws a customer base that are keen to get to their destination quickly.
All passengers are situated within a singular Economy cabin. You can upgrade to a Big Front Seat, which is essentially Premium Economy, featuring an additional 6 in of legroom and reinforced padding. Located at the front of the cabin, the Big Front Seats are ideal for working-on-the-go and either have aisle access or a window view.
Airbus is chosen as the preferred manufacturer, making up the entirety of the fleet. The A320 and A321 families of aircraft are used for the majority of services. Unmistakable with any other carrier, the Spirit fleet is painted in a bold yellow design that has been labelled the taxi livery.
