Cons:Unresponsive management. Would not do anything about an exterior light shining through a window with minimal window shutters. The place is dirty and the parking lot was tiny, yet packed with cars, making parking a disaster.

Cons:Equipment in a utility closet nearby whistled, keeping us awake for a while.

Pros:Location was convenient to both the beach and downtown Monterey. Staff was friendly.
Cons:The rooms were old and the carpet smelled. The maid sprayed Febreze all over the room to cover it up, and we had to air it out. The lock was almost broken and a few times the door got stuck. Really, it was just a bunch of barely-maintained wooden shacks.

Pros:Left at 1am after waking up to bedbugs. Horrified, I went to the officem before leaving. Checked into another Inn. Asked for refund the next day & the manager of Padre Oaks refused. BEWARE!

Pros:Price...I guess you get what you pay for. location is convenient.
Cons:Heater was off...Turned off because weather had been warm and was told there was no one to light the pilot. Cable was out, limited service. Host was nonchalant about items, like "oh well" what do expect for such cheap rates.
