Pros:We appreciated the continuous communication before our arrival and the in house activity office who can organize all the events and activities around Livingstone. We found this a great deal of convenience and their knowledge of the area and particulars were invaluable to our stay. A special mention to Mwila who arannged everything for us! We also loved the friendly, unpretentious staff who catered for our every need with a huge smile. The communal living area was a pleasant place to hang around in between activities, allowing guests to share experiences and with FIFA World Cup being broadcasted on two TVs during our stay. It is very welcoming to see a stay that focuses a lot on sustainable living and care for their environment and community which permeates through their values as a business. Furthermore we liked the pricing and we found it exceptionally reasonable and it is definitely value for money. Finally it is often a scary experience when it comes to taking a taxi but Jollyboys have selected a few drivers who is often on standby which made it very easy for us. They were always so fantastic, honest and friendly, particularly Sam who made this trip extra special for us!
Cons:We didn't like the shared shower facilities which perhaps shared a common geysers hence running out on hot water and water pressure during showers at peak hours. We also found the heavily rusted soap trays in the showers a little disconcerting. Another problem was the Wi-Fi internet where you are confined to a small bar area where it is shared amongst all guests. This proved difficult during peak traffic where everyone is using the bandwidth at the same time which made it very slow. It was also not always convenient as you didn't have any Wi-Fi signal in the rooms. Lastly the bar could perhaps improve on it's menu selection which is minimal and a more comprehensive curio shop could be something to consider for those looking to bring something back as a gift or for memory as a matter of convenience for travellers.
Pros:Second time here and I am pleased as ususl.
