Pros:The bed was fairly comfortable as beds in Thailand go. Normally they are far to hard for my liking, this was softer.
Cons:This list is long: With the exception of the TV, nothing works. If its electrical or electronic, it does not work fully or sometimes at all. The A/C would only blow cold air in low fan setting. The A/C would only blow the coldest air possible. The A/C would only be on or off, Manually. This means the room took a while to cool down, but once it was cool it just kept going as cold as it could. This means that when you go to bed, first one to pee needs a parka, and turn the AC off on the way into the bathroom. Then some hours later, the occupants are sleeping in a pool of sweat, because, well, Thailand is HOT. Even at night. The Refrigerator, just flat out didn't work. I requested one be brought in from another room, but Basil Faulty running the joint, insisted that we give it to the evening to come on after his adjustments. I asked that the candidate unit be turned on NOW (4pm) so that when we did need to drag the replacement in the replacement would at least be cold. That was not done, the fridge was dragged in and we had nice warm water and beer all evening. The state of the Bathroom was at best "start of remodelling" . The towel racks are so rusted they can not be used. There was a mold stain above the sink and a hole in the drywall/ceiling material. The shower was weak and the temp on all the way hot, maybe had the edge taken off it so it was not ground temp. The tile job is missing tiles in the decorative pattern strip, and of course the grout is missing. Where there is grout, between the white field tiles, it is stained black from mold. As far as Mr. Faulty goes, he is both not too bright, and at the same time condescending. When I pointed out the AC issues, he told me it was controlled by the remote on the wall, and I should use the dial to adjust the temp. Well thank you very much captain obvious, because this is the first time I've ever used HVAC equipment. When we first checked in the room had 3 bottles of shower gel and about a centimeter of shampoo left in the only shampoo bottle obviously left over from previous customers! I asked Basil for shampoo, and since the Toilet paper had about 3 turns left on the roll a fresh TP! I got the TP, 5 or 6 shower gel bottles, and NO SHAMPOO. As for housekeeping. Well that's a stretch. We stayed two days, and the sheets were not changed, the TP was not replenished, I think she remade the bed (my wife had already made it for some damn reason) but I got the distinct impression the sheets would be left on the bed between customers even, if they thought they could get away with it. This place and the people maintaining it are not clean. The included breakfast is a very skippable affair. One poorly cooked egg (the white is not set) 5 or 6 chunks of potatoes, mini sausages, ham. You wait for it to be "Cooked" and it comes stone cold. What's the point. This place is best avoided, unless you are actually looking for a shitty hotel. Dismiss the 3 star rating on Kayak.
